Iranian movie ‘Highlight’ is slated to be screened at the San Francisco Iranian Film Festival (IFF) in the US.

The film directed by Saman Salour will compete at the 13th edition of the American event.

‘Highlight’ also produced by Sasan Salour was a contender at the 36th edition of the Fajr Film Festival.

A brief synopsis for the romantic-drama reads, “A car accident brings people face to face with each other. Caring for the injured and waiting for them to regain consciousness is a long and painful wait...”

Pejman Bazeghi from ‘Passing through the Hardships’, Azadeh Zarei from the hit series ‘The Sound of Rain’, and ‘A Passenger to Rey’ star Jamshid Hashempour will be accompanied by Sam Gharibian, Mina Vahid, and Elaheh Hesari to make up the film’s main cast.

Launched in 2008, the IFF is an annual event showcasing independent feature and short films made by or about Iranians from around the world. It is the first independent Iranian film festival outside Iran.

The 13th edition of the festival is scheduled to be held on September 19-20, 2020.
